BankPacific launched its year-long initiative “Cleaning Up Our Roots” which focuses on revitalizing village parks across the island.
The bank in a release said the first event took place on July 12 at Angel Santos Memorial Park in Hagåtña.
BankPacific team members gathered to waterblast, landscape, and collect trash in partnership with the village mayor’s office.
Each month, BankPacific will select a new park, coordinated with village mayors, to help beautify and maintain important community spaces.
BankPacific celebrates 71 years of service this year. It was originally the Guam Savings and Loan Association which opened its doors to the public in the Guam Daily News Building, where the DNA Building stands today in Hagåtña on July 7, 1954.
